Galway Punter Overcomes Giant Odds For Giant Payout

A punter in County Galway had a weekend to remember when they landed an incredible Lotto bet on Saturday night, despite only investing €1 on their lucky numbers.

The customer placed their bet in a BoyleSports shop in the county on Saturday and plumped for a €1 accumulator on four numbers to land in the UK Lottery draw that evening.

When numbers 40, 14 and 19 were the first three out, the punter was left sweating on number 9 being one of the last three to roll out of the machine.

When it was selected as the fifth number in the draw, the ambitious bet clicked, overcoming mammoth odds of 15,000/1.

The Galway native was able to return to the shop and walk off with a jaw-dropping total of €15,001.
