Turner And Norton Share 007 Favouritism

Aidan Turner has locked horns with Happy Valley’s star James Norton in the battle to become the next James Bond.

The popular hunky Dubliner has recently shortened further for the role and is now 9/4 from 11/4, however he has stiff competition in James Norton.

Norton is a relatively new name to the betting, but quickly caught punters’ eyes. A further burst of support over the past two days has resulted in the Londoner’s odds being slashed into 9/4 from 3/1, placing him as a joint favourite to succeed Daniel Craig as 007.

Boardwalk Empire’s Jack Huston is another new key contender for the role of James Bond and has impressively gone straight into the betting at the short price of 5/2, surpassing Tom Hiddleston.

Tom Hiddleston was once the red hot 1/3 favourite, but reports have since emerged that his chances have dwindled resulting in him drifting right out to 4/1. Other early frontrunners included Idris Elba (8/1), Tom Hardy (12/1) and Damien Lewis (16/1), but support has since dried up as the focus shifts to the top three names in the betting.
