O’Brien Wishing For A Leinster Title At Naas

Joseph O’Brien will be hoping to get his first official winner on the board at the Cheltenham Festival next week but he could well go to the Cotswolds after enjoying a good day at Naas on Sunday.

Blackmore Wishing For Another Leinster National
Rachael Blackmore enjoyed a notable winner in her career a couple of seasons ago when winning the Leinster National on Abolitionist and she could snare a second renewal of the race with Wishmoor today.

The nine-year-old comes to Naas after being second to today’s top weight Dounikos in the BoyleSports National Trial at Punchestown last month and meets them rivals on better terms today.

Indeed O’Brien has two strong claims with Vieux Morvan holding a good chance too but Wishmoor is a course winner at Naas over 2m4f and didn’t seem too inconvenienced by the step up to 3m4f last time out…

so shouldn’t have any issue with the 3m trip on more testing ground today.

The nine-year-old is currently on a rating of 133 and success here would see him stake a claim for a tilt at the €500,000 BoyleSports Irish Grand National on Easter Monday.

Time For West Coast To Shine
Formerly owned by Michael Tabor, the connections of West Coast Time were probably expecting a little more from this son of Westerner out of the Grade 1 winning Refinement but he can now find his level in this handicap grade.

West Coast Time now carries the colours of the Joseph O’Brien Racing Club and ran a nice race last month at Gowran Park over 2m4f behind stable companion Smoking Gun.

Smoking Gun gave the form a good boost on Thursday when winning again at Thurles and…

West Coast Time should be able to add a third success here.

Recommended Bets:
Wishmoor (9/2) – 4.50 Naas
West Coast Time (10/3) – 4.20 Naas
