O’Briens Rattling In Wins At Curragh

Aidan O’Brien dominated at the Curragh yesterday and looked to produce a real potential Classic contender in Ten Sovereigns and more long term Classic clues may be found at HQ again this afternoon with some quality racing.

Lavery To Be The Lady
When you get a runaway winner on the flat like Lady Kaya at the Curragh a fortnight ago the immediate question is whether or not it was a bit of a fluke. Even connections couldn’t really admit whether the field couldn’t go with her or just didn’t but a chance is taken that Lady Kaya really is a bit above average and she can prove that in the Debutante Stakes.

The daughter of Dandy Man ran well in a good Curragh maiden back in June at a time when Lavery’s horses weren’t firing due to a issue with water at her yard but that has since been solved and the good health of her team was proven at Galway and Lady Kaya showed they really were firing when landing a winners race two weeks ago by 10-lengths.

A positive is that the rain due to fall at the Curragh on Sunday morning won’t inconvenience the selection and although the Ballydoyle team have shown signs of a resurgence this week…

Lavery’s charge is still picked to get the better of Hermosa and Zagitova.

Donnacha Rattling Them In
Donnacha O’Brien wasted no time in getting back into the winning grove at the Curragh yesterday following his suspension and the jockeys championship leader could team up with brother Joseph to land the finale on Sunday.

Rattling Jewel has been tried in good races with a low weight and lower grade races with top weight and although knocking on the door he just has failed to add to his four wins this year.

The six-year-old feels like he has been around a lot longer but he only joined O’Brien this year and is actually yet to win for the trainer.

Three of those four wins came at the Curragh, two of those were last year but the most recent was over today’s course and distance and a rating 10lbs higher than the 75 he’ll race off today.

It won’t be easy to give weight away all around in a competitive sprint like this but with the yard in good form and the jockey flying…

the horse can once again prove that he is a little cut above his rivals here.

Recommended Bets:
Lady Kaya (4/1) – 2.35 Curragh
Rattling Jewel (5/1) – 5.25 Curragh
