Odds Cut On Trump To Be 2024 Republican Candidate Following Acquittal

A renewed gamble this week means that Donald Trump is now being rated as the most likely Republican candidate to be challenging for the White House in the next Presidential election in the United States.

The Senate voted 57-43 in favour of convicting Trump for inciting the Capitol riots in January, but the failure to secure a two-thirds majority saw him acquitted, clearing the path for another bid at the Presidency in 2024.

Former Trump aide Steve Bannon has since claimed the former President will be back to lead the Republican challenge in less than four years’ time and now his 2024 odds have been slashed following speculation that he will run again.

We have shortened Trump into 7/2 favourite from 8/1 to be the Republican nominee, putting him ahead of early touted candidates Nikki Haley (6/1) and his daughter Ivanka (12/1).

Trump has also been cut into 13/2 from 12/1 since his acquittal to win the 2024 election, putting him right behind Kamala Harris (7/2) Joe Biden (9/2) in the early betting.
