Odds Put Trump on Course for Four More Years

US Presidential Election 2020

Winner

Donald Trump is being backed to bag himself a second term in the White House.

His chances of a second term as President are continuing to increase according to the latest betting, with BoyleSports making him the 10/11 favourite from 11/10 to win the election ahead of Joe Biden, who is leading the betting at 1/8 to be the Democratic candidate on the ballot come November.

Although Joe Biden is the clear favourite to be the name beside Trump’s on the ballot paper, the odds on the former Vice-president making it all the way to the White House were hammered into 15/8 from 22/1 just last month. Following his victory on ‘Super Tuesday’ and other winning primaries, it wasn’t long until Biden was made the joint favourite alongside Trump at 11/10.

However, due to the uncertainty of the coronavirus pandemic, several states have been forced to delay their primaries meaning Biden has been eased out to 11/8 which leaves Trump back in the driver’s seat.

Another candidate that could be a threat to Biden in the Democratic race is Andrew Cuomo as the New York Governor has seen his profile rise significantly during the coronavirus crisis, with his odds plummeting into 12/1 from 100/1 to take on Trump in November.

It’s been a rocky road for Trump, but the latest betting suggests he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
