Odds Suggest Shamrock Rovers Are Closing In On Dundalk

League Of Ireland

Premier Division Winners

The gap between Dundalk and Shamrock Rovers at the head of the League of Ireland betting is closing after bets in the capital saw the odds of a Hoops title victory clipped on Tuesday.

The Tallaght side comfortably saw off Finn Harps with three first half goals on Monday evening to jump to the top of the league table on goal difference having won three out of their opening five games.

The renewed burst of support in the Dublin area for Rovers to win their first title in six years saw us cut their odds into 3/1 from 10/3.

Making them clear second favourites now ahead of St Pat’s Athletic, who were held to a 1-1 by UCD last Friday.

Despite a slow start under their new management team which sees them sit in 5th place with only one victory from four, Dundalk remain at the head of the market at 4/5 to retain their crown.
