Order Of St George Will Be Very Hard To Beat In Irish St Leger

Joseph O’Brien has exclusively spoken to BoyleSports in relation to the withdrawal of Big Orange from the Irish St Leger on Sunday.

O’Brien, Racing Ambassador for BoyleSports, spoke earlier in the week on the potential clash between Big Orange and Order Of St George saying “The rematch in the Irish St Leger could be the race of the weekend.”

Off the back of the news that Michael Bell announced the Ascot Gold Cup winner will forgo the Irish St Leger due to the prospect of soft ground, O’Brien gave BoyleSports his thoughts on the Irish St Leger and Order Of St George.

I was lucky to have had some great days on Order Of St George, and he’ll be very hard to beat in attempting to win the Irish St Leger for a second time.

“I think his versatility is one of his stand out attributes – he’s as good over 2m4f as 1m6f, and had the class to finish third in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe last October over 1m4f.“

“Races this weekend are going to be hard to win, but Order of St George is in good form, (after his win in the St Leger trial at the Curragh last time out), handles the conditions well and really looks the one they will all have to beat.”
