Platt’ll Do Nicely in X Factor Betting!

The X Factor saw two more acts pack their backs and go and this time is was Cheryl and the Girls who took the hit.

Steph Nala was the first to get the boot with Chloe Jasmine quickly following her after an nearly unanimous decision by the judges.

Andrea Andrea Andrea, yes you had a shaky start to Whitney Houston’s One Moment In Time and yes Simon did say you were better last week, because you were, but we still love you. The Italian lovebear is just adorable and is our first male diva on the X Factor. He is still topping the betting despite a bit of a drift but I think he can pull it back during Movie week.

Lauren Platt is one to watch and most certainly winning material. She’s young, relevant and can take any song from any genre and make it her own. My only issue with her is that she seems to have no personality. That hasn’t stopped punters getting behind her and we could see her takeover from Andrea Faustini as the favourite very soon.

Ben Haenow has never once failed to deliver a spine tingling performance and I literally had goosebumps during his rendition of Jealous Guy. 5/1 is the current price for the Lorry driver to win and if you are looking for value this is it. He sings so effortlessly and forget Jake Quickenden Ben’s big brown eyes melted men and women’s hearts on Saturday.

Jay James is having a bit of a rollercoaster time on the X Factor if the betting is anything to go by. His first live performance saw the ex-Royal Marine drift right out to 25/1. However he redeemed himself with his take on the Proclaimers 500 Miles as he is now a 12/1 shot. It wasn’t my cup of tea but what do I know!

Elimination

Jake Quickenden narrowly escaped the bottom three on Sunday’s X Factor results show, no doubt it was all down to his looks and not his singing. He has relied heavily on the female vote and backing tracks to get him this far but it looks like it we all come to an end this weekend as his is the favourite to go at 15/8.

Everybody loves a novelty act in the X Factor and Stevi Ritchie is a very loveable guy but novelty acts can only last for so long before the joke gets old. I think it’s time Stevi gives up and at 7/2 I may get my wish.

Stereo Kicks were up against Chloe Jasmine in the Sing Off on Sunday but had the judges on their side as they voted to keep the eight piece in. They don’t harmonise enough throughout their performances, instead the three strongest of the eight, I repeat EIGHT, take a solo each and the rest pitching for the chorus. It’s getting old and even The judges are questioning if an eight member boyband can work. The lads could be in for a shock and get the big ole X Factor boot.
