That’s according to the latest betting here at BoyleSports, with Leicester City have taking just one point from their opening three games and Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Southampton leaves them in the relegation zone with eight goals leaked already.
With Chelsea and Manchester United next up in the league for the Foxes, Rodgers has plummeted into 4/9 from 7/1 with BoyleSports, below, to be the first managerial casualty of the season.
Leicester’s chances of dropping to the Championship have also been slashed into 4/1 from 14/1.
The betting also makes bleak reading for Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard, who are now rated joint 5/1 second favourites in the sack race after two defeats each for Everton and Aston Villa.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: “It’s been a very underwhelming start for Leicester this season, but the fixture list isn’t getting kinder and that may also have something to do with Brendan Rodgers making the unwanted move into 4/7 from 7/1 in the sack race.
“Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard also need a quick turnaround in form according to punters who clearly don’t think it’s going to be long before someone wields the axe.”
