Premier League Sack Race Betting As England Legend Odds Shorten
An England legend is in danger of being the first to lose their job in the Premier League sack race, according to the early betting.
Everton boss Frank Lampard warned his players they must improve or face another relegation battle next season after they suffered a 4-0 defeat to Minnesota United to follow up a 2-0 defeat to Arsenal on their pre-season tour of the United States.
A lot of punters think Lampard is going to come under immediate pressure next season with their pre-season form so far leaving a lot to be desired. Relegation for the Toffees has shortened into 7/2 from 4/1 before a ball has even been kicked.
The Toffees also face a tricky start to the new campaign with Chelsea visiting Goodison Park for their opening fixture before a trip to Villa Park on the second weekend.
Lampard has now been backed into 11/2 from 7/1 with BoyleSports to be the first managerial casualty of the new season, with only Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl ahead of him in the early 2022/23 sack race.
A 3-2 victory against Crystal Palace in their last home match of the season protected a 69-year run in the top-flight for Everton, but they have already seen their chances of dropping to the Championship at the end of next season clipped into 7/2 from 4/1, below.
