President Higgins Odds On Not To Run For Second Term

President Michael D Higgins didn’t rule out the possibility of running for a second term in Aras an Uachtarain yesterday during his visit to the Galway Races.

We aren’t convinced however and have made our President the red hot odds of 1/3 not to officially run for Irish Presidency again.

Punters who disagree can avail of odds of 2/1 for President Higgins to run for a second term next year.

Michael D may have remained elusive when questioned about Bertie Ahern possibly taking over from him but punters haven’t been shy in showing their support for the former Taoiseach.

Ahern is currently 12/1 alongside Éamon Ó Cuív and Ruairi Quinn to be the next Irish President after Michael D and holds the largest liability for us at present.

The current favourite to succeed Higgins is Mairead McGuinness at 5/1 with Fergus Finlay next at 7/1 and both Miriam O’Callaghan and Emily O’Reilly priced at 8/1.
