Price Cut On Joe Brolly To Replace Michael D. Higgins

Joe Brolly is being backed to become the next President of Ireland in 2025 when Michael D. Higgins’ second term is scheduled to come to an end.

The former Derry All-Ireland winner labelled Leo Varadkar’s St Patrick’s Day speech about the coronavirus crisis as ‘nauseous’. The GAA pundit claims that the country was expecting news from the address and that the Taoiseach took the opportunity to look prime ministerial.

Some punters seem to agree with Joe Brolly’s outrage as his odds to replace Michael D. Higgins and become the next President of Ireland have tumbled into 25/1 from 40/1 on Friday afternoon.

Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern is also attracting some early support since the betting was made available with his odds cut into 10/1 from 14/1 just a few days ago.

Former Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny was backed into 25/1 from 50/1 last month to take his place in Áras an Uachtaráin while Vice President of the European Parliament, Mairead McGuinness, is 9/2 to become the next President of Ireland and she is the clear favourite.
