Punter Turns €0.50c Into €16,500

A Dubliner is thanking their lucky stars this weekend after landing a tasty EuroMillions payout thanks to a tiny bet placed on Friday.

The customer placed their bet on the BoyleSports app and picked numbers 5, 14, 15 and 19 to be drawn in Friday evening’s EuroMillions Plus draw.

With a stake of only €0.50c, the bet landed with all four numbers rolling out of the machine, smashing mammoth odds of 33,000/1 in the process.

The lucky run of numbers meant that the customers’ account was bolstered to the tune of €16,500.50 after the draw.
