Punters Predicting Oscar Win For La La Land

La La Land has kicked off the award season as they mean to go on, having bagged eight Critics’ Choice Awards in December and most recently the Best Movie of the Year award at the Capri, Hollywood International Film Festival in Italy on Monday.

The musical romance, directed and written by Damien Chazelle, is expected to be the dominant flick this award season and it is already the red hot favourite for the Oscar for Best Picture.

Having initially been installed at Even money, La La Land quickly shortened to its current odds of 4/7 odds following strong support from punters.

Manchester by the Sea, starring Casey Affleck and Michelle Williams is next in the betting at 5/1, alongside Barry Jenkins’ drama Moonlight, after shortening in from 6/1.

It’s then Silence at 14/1, Hacksaw Ridge and Fences, both 16/1 and it’s 25/1 about both Jackie and Loving.
