Record Temperatures Expected As Heatwave Approaches

The Irish weather is a somewhat unpredictable thing. One day it’s a beautiful summer’s day, the next the heavens have opened and the umbrellas are out.

One thing that has been consistent of late is the heat and temperatures have noticeably risen.

These temperatures are excepted to soar next week with reports of a heatwave like no other set to hit Ireland. We are optimistic and are offering the short odds of 6/4 that temperatures will reach 25 degrees or higher.

The odds of temperatures reaching 30 degrees or higher are the much bigger price of 10/1.

The highest temperature recorded in Ireland does not look set to be broken next week at 100/1, with 33.3 degrees holding the top spot having been recorded in June of 1887.

Ireland hasn’t recorded temperatures above 33 degrees since 1887, so it may not be a record-breaking heatwave next week, but we are happy to take whatever we can get. At 6/4 for temperatures to hit 25 degrees or higher, we most certainly have the sun cream and shorts at the ready.
