Robbie Power’s Cheltenham 2020 Day 2 Tips – Champion Bumper

Robbie Power joins us from Cheltenham to give his best bets for the Champion Bumper on Day 2 of the 2020 Cheltenham Festival.

5.30 Champion Bumper

Good Time Jonny is a nice horse and a nice ride to pick up.

He was second in a bumper for John McConnell back in Punchestown earlier in the season, then was sold to Tony Martin and was third in a good bumper in Leopardstown before winning very impressively in Musselburgh.

He would need to improve a little bit but he would appreciate the soft ground as well which should be good.

Willie Mullins looks to have a very smart horse here in Appreciate It.

He was very impressive the last day.

David Pipe’s Israel Champ is a winner of a listed bumper which is very good form as well. He’s got course and distance form so he’s an exciting horse.

All the talk has been about Appreciate It. Patrick Mullins didn’t even have a decision to make, he was always going to ride him.

Usually when Willie only runs two or three in the bumper it means he has a good one and I think Appreciate It could be just that.

Best Bet: Appreciate It (7/4)
