Ireland’s Odds Of A Six Nations Comeback Cut After Win In Italy

Six Nations

Winner

Ireland’s odds of winning the Six Nations have recovered somewhat after they followed up England’s defeat against Wales with a hard-fought victory over Italy in Rome.

Ireland had to reverse a half-time deficit to overcome the Azzurri as the hosts went in with a four-point advantage at half-time, but second half tries from Keith earls and Conor Murray ensured Ireland bagged the bonus point victory to remain in the hunt.

We now have Ireland at 9/1 to win their second consecutive Six Nations crown as they sit 3 points behind leaders Wales in the table, while England’s defeat in Cardiff on Saturday saw their hot 2/11 chances pushed out to 4/7.

Wales are now the second favourites at 2/1 having won their first three matches, with Warren Gatland’s men also into 2/1 from 15/2 for their first Grand Slam in seven years.

Despite Ireland’s revival in the Six Nations market, punters are starting to doubt their long-term credentials with a World Cup win pushed out to 9/2 from 7/2 after the stuttering start to their campaign.
