Rural The One To Beat In BoyleSports Race Of Champions

BoyleSports Race Of Champions

Outright Betting

Friday night sees the final of the BoyleSports Race Of Champions take place at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium in Tralee.

Currently we cannot split Rural Hawaii and Farloe Joey who are both heading the betting at 5/2.

Rural Hawaii is bidding to win the competition for the second year in a row for his trainer Graham Holland.

Farloe Joey was eliminated from the first round of the English Greyhound but bounced back to winning ways last Friday night in 29.57. Leave At Dawn came from off the pace to land his heat in 29.73 for Newry trainer Brendan Matthews.

BoyleSports Duke will race from Trap 5 for BoyleSports owner John Boyle and he is priced at 5/1 to claim the prizemoney for the sponsor whilst Ballymac Boxcar who will race from Trap 2 is the outsider at 12/1.

Rural Hawaii is the worst result for us in the ante-post book so we will be keeping him onside all week, Graham Holland can do no wrong recently and we feel he has a great draw in the final. This is our fourth year sponsoring this great competition and the night is being run in conjunction with the Kerry GAA benefit night so a huge crowd is expected.

All of us here in headquarters will be cheering on BoyleSports Duke in trap five; he stayed on strong last week to take second position so we are hoping the early pace runners hold each other up! Duke is reported in good order so his trainer Dolores Ruth is hoping for a big run.
