Sarah McTernan To Send Ireland Into Eurovision Final?

Ireland are 11/2 shots to be one of the countries taking part in Saturday evening’s final of the Eurovision Song Contest.

County Clare singer-songwriter Sarah McTernan carries the hopes of the nation ahead of her performance in Thursday’s semi-final as she tries to impress the audience with this year’s entry ‘22’.

Our odds are suggesting an uphill struggle for the former The Voice of Ireland contestant at 11/2 to progress, and an outside 150/1 to record an 8th Irish victory at the iconic event.

Sweden are threatening to match Ireland’s record haul of 7 Eurovision wins with John Lundvik’s ‘Too Late For Love’ the 9/2 second favourite

…to land first prize, but Duncan Laurence is a strong 13/8 favourite to bring the contest back to the Netherlands next year and in doing so protect Ireland’s record at the top of the all-time standings.

The United Kingdom are also up against it at 150/1, but Australia and Iceland are two of the eye-catching market movers as both saw their odds cut in half following a burst in punters’ support.

Iceland are 10/1 from 20/1 and the Aussies are 8/1 from 16/1 after both progressed from the first semi-final on Tuesday.
