Seeley’s Selections – Saturday’s Live Premier League

Stats

Man City v West Brom

Match Betting

Another weekend of Premier League action gets under way with two live games on Saturday and trust me, it gets better as the weekend goes on.

Man City v West Brom, Saturday 12:45, Live on BT Sport 1
The first game of a massive weekend both at the top and the bottom of the table is from the Ethiad where the champions Manchester City take on West Brom. Manuel Pellegrini’s side will be desperate for maximum points in this one, if they are to have any hope of defending their Premier League title.

The Champions were dumped out of Europe by Barcelona in midweek, but if Pellegrini could pick one team to take on the following Saturday, well then I’m sure that the Baggies would be high on the Colombian’s wish list. City are unbeaten in their last 10 against West Brom and they have won their last nine meetings and they are rightly the shortest favourites on the BoyleSports Premier League long-list at 1/3.

City will win this one, it’s just a question of whether you want to part with your cash at the short prices or find a better way for a financial investment? I prefer the latter. In those nine victories there have been a few one-sided ones and I think the wounded tiger that is City could really do some serious damage once let of the leash on Saturday afternoon.

I like the 5/6 with BoyleSports on the home side -1, City have got to give one team a real good hiding sooner or later and instead of taking the heavy odds-on about them just to win, I would much rather play on the more lucrative handicap market.
Joe Hart was in fantastic form at the Nou Camp in midweek keeping Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez at bay in a one man mission to get City into the quarter-finals. I like the 23/20 with BoyleSports on the inspired England goalkeeper continuing his fine form against Saido Berahino, Brown Ideye and Stephane Sessegnon with City win to nil.

Earlier in the season at the Hawthorns, this game ended 3-1 and was also 3-1 last season and at 10/1 with BoyleSports that will be popular, but I can’t see West Brom scoring and a 3-0 win would be my choice at 7/1.

Sergio Aguero missed a crucial penalty in Spain on Wednesday and the Argentinian will want to make amends in this one.

City’s top scorer is 11/4 with BoyleSports to open the scoring and with four goals in his last five matches against the Baggies, he really is the only option in the first goalscorer market.

“DOUBLE BUBBLE” is a massive one in this clash. BoyleSports will double the odds on your winning first goalscorer if your player scores inside the opening 20 minutes.
DOUBLE BUBBLE players will be delighted to hear that City have scored four goals in the first 10 minutes in the last five games against West Brom and the visitors have conceded more goals inside the first 15 minutes than any other team. GET IT READY BOYLESPORTS!!!

Seeley’s Selections:
Man City (-1) @ 5/6
Man City To Win To Nil @ 23/20
Correct Score: Man City 3-0 @ 7/1
Sergio Aguero First Goalscorer @ 11/4 (11/2 Double Bubble)

West Ham v Sunderland, Saturday 5:30, Live on Sky Sports 1
Saturday evening and you have three options.
1. Stay in and watch Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway?
2. Go down the boozer?
3. Stay in and watch West Ham v Sunderland?

Whatever you decide, just make sure it’s NOT number three. This clash at Upton Park is going to be dire, but it doesn’t mean we can’t have a couple of bets before we pop down the local. West Ham are an industry best 20/23 favourites with BoyleSports for this one and they just can’t be trusted at the moment. They are lacking firepower with the absence of Andy Carroll and with just one win in their last 12 games, they do look a team that is already planning the end of season jolly up to Tenerife, although I have been informed that Premier League players go to Dubai nowadays.

Sunderland just can’t be backed either at the 18/5 with BoyleSports. The Black Cats sacked Gus Poyet in midweek after their humiliating 4-0 home defeat to Aston Villa last weekend and Dick Advocaat will be in the Sunderland dug-out for the first time on Saturday evening.

The one postive though for Dickie-A is, it can’t get much worse, but it can only get marginally better and despite a great recent record against the Hammers, just one loss in their last seven matches, I can’t see them winning this one. I’m sitting firmly on the fence in this and I can see both keeping their unwanted winless run continuing with a draw which looks decent at 13/5 with BoyleSports.

The Wearsiders have only won once in their last 12 matches as well, and with both teams struggling for goals and desperate for points this is going to be a cagey affair in the East End.

The reverse fixture ended 1-1 at the Stadium of Light and in the last two meetings at Upton Park, they have both ended in draws and all of those matches have seen less than three goals scored and at BoyleSports’ 3/4, that is the best bet of the match.

Under 2.5 has been a winner in seven of the last eight matches when these two have played and that looks set to continue on Saturday.

With goals not expected and honours likely to be shared, I’m interested in another 1-1 draw at 11/2 with BoyleSports which was the scoreline earlier this season and also in the reverse fixture last year and the most likely again. Former West Ham striker Jermaine Defoe has scored four goals in his last five matches against the Hammers and the Sunderland striker is 13/2 with BoyleSports to keep up that fine form with the opener on Saturday night.

This is going to be very tight and I can see the opener coming from a set-piece and in a match where I can see defensives dominating I’m going to take a chance on James Collins at a massive 22/1 with BoyleSports to open the scoring for the Hammers.

REMEMBER – “DOUBLE BUBBLE” on all this weekends Premier League games; if your winning first goalscorer selection scores the first goal inside the opening 20 minutes, BoyleSports will double all winning first goalscorer bets on that player.

B Lucky!
