Seeley’s Selections – Saturday’s Live Premier League Matches

THE Premier League returns on Saturday and we have two live matches for our day’s entertainment which look polar opposites when looking for some punting value.

Crystal Palace v QPR, Saturday 12:45, Live on BT Sport 1
The first game is the early kick-off between two London rivals struggling at the foot of the table in the relegation clash between Crystal Palace and QPR at Selhurst Park. This is going to be a poor one, trust me.

It’s hard to make a case for either side to win this but the BoyleSports odds compilers have installed the hosts as the 4/5 market leaders and I wouldn’t get involved in that. After a great start to life under Alan Pardew the wins have dried up in recent weeks for the Eagles and they look opposable in this one.

Pardew’s men have only won once in their last five home matches and have lost the last four and this could be a lot trickier than BoyleSports predict.

QPR are priced up at 17/4 with BoyleSports to gain maximum points away from home for only the second time in their last 19 matches and that can’t be touched either. Chris Ramsey will come here not to lose and the game plan will be to try to hit the hosts on the counter attack.

The need for points for Rangers has become a desperate one now and I’m sure, if it isn’t too late already a defeat in this one will condemn then to the Championship next term.

For some reason I like the visitors’ chances of getting something from this and my first bet in the game is on the 11/10 with BoyleSports on QPR-Draw in the Double Chance market.
The Rs have a great record against their London rivals and are unbeaten in their last seven matches and I really believe it’s do or die now and that extra need for the points will see them get something.

There has just been seven goals scored in the five Premier League meetings between this pair and with just one in the last three that leads me on nicely to a wager on under 2.5 goals in the game at 8/11 with BoyleSports.

There has also been three 0-0 draws in the last seven matches between these London rivals and the 7/1 on no goalscorer in the game looks another way to get profit from what is going to be a dull one for sure.

Remember to back no goalscorer rather than 0-0 because if the opening goal is an own goal, which I wouldn’t rule out totally in this one those nice people at BoyleSports will still pay you out as a winner.

Burnley v Manchester City, Saturday 5:30pm, Live on Sky Sports 1
THE evening kick-off is totally the opposite with load of goals expected when champions Manchester City make the short trip across Lancashire to face Burnley at Turf Moor.

This is a big opportunity for City to make a real statement that they aren’t going to give up their title without a fight with the recent slip-ups at title favourites Chelsea.

BoyleSports are taking no chances with the visitors at just 4/9 for this one, and usually I would avoid that like the plague for two reasons:
1. I never back odds-on teams away from home in the Premier League
2. I usually oppose sides the week before massive Champions League games and they don’t come much bigger than City’s visit to Barcelona on Wednesday.

I’m not going to play on the short odds, but they will win.

City are unbeaten in their last six visits to Turf Moor, winning the last five and have scored 17 goals in their last four visits including SIX on two occasions. There have been a staggering 45 goals scored in the last nine matches between these two including a 2-2 draw at the Ethiad earlier in the season, YaYa Toure was missing, so don’t expect a repeat performance.

It won’t come as any surprise to you all, to see all my bets in this one heavily concentrating on the total goals markets. Over 2.5 goals in the match is a weekend banker at the 8/13 with BoyleSports but in this one, I’m more tempted by the over 3.5 goals and a much nicer price of 31/20.

If you had backed over 3.5 in the last nine matches between these two sides you would have been queuing up at the pay-out desk on a staggering EIGHT occasions.

Don’t rule out over 4.5 goals which was a winner on SEVEN of those nine games and one loser was this season’s 2-2 draw and at the 18/5 with BoyleSports that also looks generous.
Both teams have scored between these two in the last five meetings but I’m going to swerve BoyleSports very kind offer of 5/6 on both scoring on Saturday night and instead I’m going to play on some big price correct-scores.

A 4-1 away win will be carrying a quid of my money at 18/1 as will a 4-2 City win at 33/1 with BoyleSports, and I wouldn’t rule out 5-1 which is also on my shortlist at 33/1 again.
City have scored in their last 20 away Premier League matches and with 998 goals scored in the Premier League for the Blues’ they will break the 1,000 goal barrier in this one.

It’s a real race at the top of the Premier League goalscoring charts and Sergio Aguero has the perfect opportunity to stake his claim for the Golden Boot in this one. The Argentinian international is 3/1 open the scoring with BoyleSports which I like the look of with him keen to warm-up for a crack at Barcelona next week with a goal.
