Seeley’s Selections – Stoke v Newcastle

Two struggling Premier League veterans clash in the Monday Night Football when Stoke entertain Newcastle at the Britannia Stadium.

Both teams have had poor starts to the new Premier League season but the home sides indifferent start has pretty much gone under the radar. Mark Hughes’ men have only won once all season, but what a win it was away at the Ethiad against champions Manchester City.

The Potters’ will be very popular with Boylesports clients at 11/10, but I’m not so sure. At the Britannia they have always been formidable opponents over the years, but in their two matches this season against Aston Villa and Leicester they’ve lost both 1-0.

Alan Pardew is still hanging onto his job at St James’, I have no idea how either, but the Silver Fox will be leading his team out on Monday night and at 29/10 with Boylesports, I can’t see many takers.

They haven’t won a game a Premier League game all season with three draws and two defeats and I can see Pardew setting his side out to frustrate his opponents and nick a point to prevent him picking up his P45 from Mr Ashley’s office for yet another week.

The stalemate looks the best bet for me at a very tempting 12/5 with Boylesports and in a game where I can’t see many goals, no goalscorer looks generous at 7/1.

Both teams have failed to score in three of five Premier League games in Stoke matches and also in three of five games Newcastle have featured in, it would be a miracle to see both of these poor attacks finding the back of the net and at 20/23 for both not to score thats a worthy wager in your weekend Boylesports BTTS accumulators.
