Seeley’s Selections – Sunday’s Live Games

A massive day in the Premier League on Sunday and the first match is the clash between Everton and Manchester United at Goodison Park.

United are BoyleSports 23/20 favourites for this one with the money pouring in already; I don’t understand why and at the price I want to take them on at a ground where they have a shocking recent record.

The Red Devils have only won once in their last seven visits to the blue half of Merseyside and I can see them struggling again in this year’s renewal.

Finally, after what has been a very frustrating season for Roberto Martinez side they have hit a decent run with just one loss in their last seven matches and they are starting to make Goodison Park a fortress again.

Last week Everton beat strugglers Burnley 1-0 and that was their third successive win to nil; you have to go back to the end of February for the last time the Toffees defence came unstuck and conceded a goal.

United, in Louis Van Gaal’s opinion, put in their best performance of the season at Stamford Bridge last week in the 1-0 defeat against Chelsea which ended any hopes of winning the title so this could be a good time to face them.

I really like the home side at BoyleSports 13/5 to continue their good recent record and if you don’t want to take my advice and back the home team, then make sure you back them on the double chance market at 8/11 with BoyleSports which sees us only lose if Man Utd win.

Everton have beaten United by 1-0 and 2-0 margins in the last two season which are 9/1 and 16/1 with BoyleSports to happen again but my preference is for a 1-0 home win at the 9s.

There are very rarely goals when these two met: in four of the last five clashes both teams have failed to score and under 2.5 goals were winners.

Both are bets again in this one at 20/21 and 21/20.

United have had problems all season with set-pieces and their defence should expect a aerial bombardment in this one. At 40/1 I’m taking a chance on Phil Jagielka with BoyleSports to get his head on one for the first and only goal.

Seeley’s Selections:
Everton To Win @ 13/5
Correct Score Everton 1-0 @ 9/1
Both Teams To Score – No @ 20/21
Under 2.5 Goals @ 21/20
Phil Jagielka First Goalscorer @ 40/1

Arsenal v Chelsea

That was the starter, now let’s move onto the main course when the “Special One” takes on the “Specialist in Failure” as Arsenal host Chelsea at the Emirates.

This is going to be tight and one thing I don’t fancy is goals; this match is going to be anything but “special”.

Arsene Wenger has never beaten Jose Mourinho in a competitive match and this is the Arsenal bosses’ best chance to end that.

The Gunners have won their last eight Premier League and yes they’ve only lost once in the last 13 competitions, but they were far from convincing in last week’s FA Cup semi-final win against Reading. At odds of 13/10 with BoyleSports to win this, however attractive it may look, they are to be avoided.

The money has been coming in all weekend for the Gunners, but again I think it’s a wrong move.

Chelsea’s had a minor blip a few weeks back but their four match winning run has pretty much gone unnoticed with the BoyleSports odds compilers.

Chelsea are 12/5 to win this, the biggest price they have been for a Premier League game this season, but the problem for their backers is they don’t need to win and I can see Mourinho going here not to lose, keeping up his winning record against Arsenal.

I’m expecting Mourinho to stop Arsenal playing, which they have done on many occasions so the draw is the sensible bet at 23/10 with BoyleSports.

One thing which is certain is that this is going to be very tight and under 2.5 goals at 4/6 with BoyleSports looks a good thing.

Two of the last three Premier League meetings at the Emirates between these two have ended goalless and with Chelsea having injury concerns to all three of there strikers, I’m expecting them to pack the midfield and prevent Arsenal from playing which means another 0-0 is on the cards – no goalscorer at 7/1 with BoyleSport is a bet.

Seeley’s Selections:

Under 2.5 Goals @ 4/6
Draw @ 23/10
Correct Score 0-0 @ 7/1
