Where has the Premier League season gone?

Just two more Super Sundays to go until it all finishes and we will be counting the days for it to start again in August.

Swansea City v Manchester City, Sky Sports 1, 1:30pm

We start with one of the trickiest games of this season to call when Swansea host Man City at the Liberty Stadium.

City are right back in the mix for the Premier League runners-up spot after they smashed QPR 6-0 last week and Sunday’s opponents did them a huge favour when they beat Arsenal 1-0 on Monday night at the Emirates.

The visitors are 3/4 to win this one with BoyleSports and with all the managerial uncertainties around the club, I really couldn’t get involved at those prices.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side did turn on the class last week against QPR, but this is a much sterner test. City won their last away day at Tottenham, but prior to that victory they had lost their last five road trips and at the odds-on quotes, I just couldn’t get involved.

The Swans are 19/5 to win this and on the evidence of what we all saw against Arsenal, I’m sure that will be a popular choice. Garry Monk has been a revelation in the Premier League, especially when you consider that he was one of the favourites for the sack at the beginning of the season and with a double over Man United and Arsenal on his CV, he’s surpassed all the fans expectations.

They’ve won their last three matches and have shown that they can entertain and score goals, and also grind out a win if required and they will be a very tough nut to crack on Sunday.

I can’t see them getting the three points in this one though, but I don’t think they will get beaten and I do like the 23/20 with BoyleSports on the Swansea-Draw double chance, and I also like the draw in the match at 31/10.

There has been 11 goals in the last three matches between these two sides and we are moving into the funny season for goals and I’m also getting stuck into the 8/13 on both teams scoring and the same price on the game seeing more than 2.5 goals.

On Saturday we landed the 3-1 correct-score in the Norwich v Ipswich game and to play our winnings up I like the “Desmond” 2-2 for this one at 12/1 with BoyleSports.

Wilfried Bony will return to his former club and I’m sure he will be keeping the visitors bench warm, but he’s 9/2 to score the first goal on his return to Wales.

You just can’t ignore the claims for Sergio Aguero to score the first goal at the moment and even at 3/1 with BoyleSports the Argentinian is still a bet.

Aguero has scored eight goals in his last five matches and he’s landed the Double Bubble for us on a few occasions in this incredible winning season so hopefully he nets again inside the opening 20 minutes to be rewarded with a juicy 6/1 pay-out.

Manchester United v Arsenal, Sky Sport 1, 4pm

The biggest games of the weekend are very rarely the best ones and that certainly is the case at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon when Manchester United host Arsenal.

These two great rivals have played some classics over the years in the Premier League, but I’m very confident that this one won’t be added to that long list.

United won earlier in the season 2-1 at the Emirates but then the Gunners got their revenge in the FA Cup in March when they won also by a 2-1 margin. That win was Arsenal’s first in the red half of Manchester since 2006 but I don’t think that they will win this one.

Arsene Wenger’s side are 19/10 with BoyleSports to have back-to-back victories over United for the first time since 2002 and 2003 and I can’t see that happening.

The Wenger Boys’ hopes of a runners-up spot did take a huge dent when they lost 1-0 last time out against Swansea, but with two home games against Sunderland and West Brom they are still firm favourites to finish second.

The thing that would concern me though if I was backing the visitors for this one is that they had a lot of possession against Swansea, but they never really ever looked like scoring.

Man United are 8/5 with BoyleSports and they are always popular with you lot. I just can’t trust them. What United team will turn up in this is anybody’s guess.

They played well last week winning 2-1 against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park but a fortnight ago they were awful when they went down 1-0 at home to the mighty West Brom, and that is the problem you face when punting on this side.

The draw at 12/5 with BoyleSports really does look the only way to play in this one and in a game which fills me with no excitement at all, this could turn into a damp squib and no goalscorer at a massive 19/2 just looks far too big to me.

I really can see the goals being at a minimum, if there is one at all, and another couple of bets I like are the 5/4 on both teams not to score and the 20/21 on the game to see less than 2.5 goals.
