Seeley’s Selections – Wednesday’s Champions League Tips

Two English clubs are in Champions League action on Wednesday evenin gand I think it’s going to be a good night for favourite backers and a nightmare for Boylesports odds compilers.

Man City v CSKA Moscow
First up is Manchester City’s “must win” clash with CSKA Moscow at the Etihad. The Champions have been in this position in Europe a couple of times over the last few seasons and have usually suffered from big night nerves.
I don’t expect any mistakes this time around but at 1/4 with Boylsports that’s not for me.

City blew a 2-0 lead in Moscow a fortnight ago and the visitors were lucky in the end to escape with just a point.

The Russians will fancy their chances of causing an 13/1 upset with Boylesports but I can’t see it.
One thing I do expect is goals and a few of them.

City, kept only their second clean sheet in their last seven matches at the weekend in the 1-0 win over Manchester United but I can’t seem them keeping one in this tie.

The Russians have scored in nine of their last 11 Champions League matches and the 10/11 on Both Teams To Score with Boylesports looks the best value on all the betting options available.

The two met at this exact stage last season with City coming out the 5-2 victors thats a 50/1 poke with Boylesports to repeat itself and however unlikely that scoreline is, I do expect goals again. Have a couple of bets on City to win this 3-1 or 4-1 at 9/1 and 13/1 respectively.

Moscow haven’t won away in the Champions League since 2009 and that unwanted record looks set to continue in this one.

In their meeting last season it took Sergio Aguero just three minutes to open the scoring and although it’s not original you can’t look past the Argentinian again in this one at 13/5 to do the same.

Remember “Double Bubble” if the Argentinian or any winning first goalscorer nets inside 20 minutes Boylesports will double the odds on the winning selection.

Aguero had now netted the first goal in four of City’s last six matches and he’s the man to go to when in need of a winner.

Both Teams To Score @ 10/11
Sergio Aguero To Score 1st @ 13/5

Maribor v Chelsea:
CHELSEA shouldn’t have any problems either when they make the long trip to Slovenia to face Maribor.
The odds on title favourites remain unbeaten in all competitions this season and the 3/10 about Chelsea away from home shows how much confidence is with them with the Boylesport odds compilers.

Chelsea won’t lose this game, they’re simply far too good. However, I can’t see a repeat of the 6-0 drubbing they dished out at Stamford Bridge a couple of weeks ago because one eye will be firmly on Liverpool in the Premier League at the weekend if you can you will get 40/1.

Which ever team Mourinho decides to go with will be too strong for the Slovenians. Andre Schurrle is expected to feature in this one and 9/2 to score the opener looks a worthy wager.

Remember if he does score inside the first 20 minutes Boylesports will double the odds on your winning first goalscorer selection.

Chelsea to win to nil is a bet I like here at 11/10 with Boylesports Mourinho’s troops have only conceded once this season in the Champions League and at gettimng more than double your money, it’s a much better way of getting involved instead of playing the heavy odds on for the away team.

I like the game to end in a comfortable 2-0 win at 11/2 for the boys from them ing’s Road as I can see them doing a producing a professional performance ahead of Liverpool at the weekend.
