Seeley’s Selections – West Brom v Burnley

Whoever decided to bill Sunday’s live Premier League Sky match between West Brom and Burnley as “Super Sunday” should be reported to the trade descriptions act straight away.

There will be NOTHING “super” about this match, but there is a few super bets on offer with Boylesports in what looks a dull encounter.

West Brom started the season in very poor fashion and were slashed in Boylesports relegation market, but in the last week they have given their supporters a bit of hope for this campaign.

They produced a coupon busting win last week when they went to White Hart Lane as no-hopers and beat Tottenham 1-0 and in midweek in the Capital One Cup they scored two goals in the last two minutes to beat Hull at the Hawthornes 3-2.

I really like Alan Irvine side in this match-up at evens and despite the game not being the most attractive for the neutral, I do believe that the home team are the best bet on the Boylesports Premier League coupon this weekend.

Burnley have been Boylesports favourites for the drop all season and what we have seen in the opening half dozen fixtures it’s hard to disagree with that.

Sean Dyche’s men have only scored one goal all season in the Premier League and have now failed to score in their last five matches.

You have to go back to 1969 for the last time Burnley won in the west midlands and I really can’t see that unwanted run ending here.

West Brom kept a clean sheet in their last Premier League game and I think they will do it again against an impotent Clarets’ attack, the Baggies to win to nil looks very very appealing at 21/10 and another 1-0 win also looks good at 11/2.
