Shane Lowry Masters Odds – Can Lowry Win Ireland’s First Masters?

We have Shane Lowry Masters odds for you as the Irishman looks to win his second-ever Major title and Ireland’s first ever Masters.

Lowry is of course a major champion after his triumph at The Open Championship 2019 in what was a dominating performance from start to finish that week. If Lowry can win at Augusta National he will join an elite group of players that have two or more major championship titles.

Shane Lowry’s last appearance at The Masters was his best finish at the tournament coming tied for third at last year’s event two strokes back from Rory McIlroy in second and five strokes back from winner Scottie Scheffler

In this post, you will find Lowry’s latest Masters betting odds along with a preview of his chances at winning at Augusta National this April.

Shane Lowry Masters Betting Odds

Shane Lowry is 33/1 in the betting odds to win the Masters in 2023. Those odds mean that while he is not recognised as one of the leading contenders if things can fall into place for him at Augusta National he has every chance of being the first Irish Winner of The Masters.

Shane is currently ranked 23rd in the world and 83rd in the FedEx Money List but has shown in his most recent Masters performance when he tied for third that he does have the Augusta game if things go his way. Following his six tournament entries this season Lowry has placed in the top 25 three times and the top 10 on one occasion.

Victory in Augusta would see him win his second-ever major title along with winning his and Ireland’s first victory at Augusta National placing his name in the history books.

Shane Lowry Current Form

Lowry’s Wins In 2023

Lowry is without a victory in 2023 with his most recent win coming at the BMW PGA Championship back in September where he beat second-placed Rory Mcllroy and Jon Rahm by one stroke. In 2023 the closest he has come to victory was back in February at the Honda Classic where he finished tied for fifth five strokes back from the winner.

Most Recent Form

Lowry has been in decent form of late but not brilliant either. He most recently placed tied for 23rd at The CJ CUP in South Carolina finishing on a score of -6 under which was eleven strokes back of the winner Rory Mcllroy.

Recent Major Form

2022 was a hit-and-miss year for Lowry at the Majors starting his campaign in good form coming tied for third at The Masters with a score of -5 under two strokes behind Rory Mcllroy and five strokes behind winner Scottie Scheffler. That was as good as it got though as he finished tied for 23rd at the PGA Championship, was cut at the U.S. Open and finished tied for 21st at The Open Championship.

Shane Lowry Masters Form

Shane Lowry was not always the strongest of contenders at Augusta National in his first four years at the event he performed poorly being cut in 2015, 2017 and in 2019. He did not partake in the event in 2018 and came tied for 39th in 2016.

However, in 2020 his form on the course began to improve finishing the event tied for 25th and again improving slightly in 2021 coming tied for 21st. The biggest indicator of his Masters chances came in 2022 where he had his best finish at the tournament coming tied for third at last year’s event two strokes back from Rory McIlroy in second and five strokes back from winner Scottie Scheffler

Shane Lowry’s Major Wins

Shane Lowry has one previous major success which came at The Open Championship 2019 where he shot an impressive -15 under to storm the field and win his first major title by six strokes from his closest challenger Tommy Fleetwood in second place. Lowry will be opening to put himself into contention for a second major in Augusta.

We also recently previewed Rory McIlroy’s Masters chances in a recent post where we took an in-depth look at how McIlroy is shaping up for this year’s tournament at Augusta National.
