Sky Is The Limit For Moon Racer At Cheltenham

Yesterday’s big race winner at Cheltenham, Taquin Du Seuil, defied plenty of weight to win the feature race and hopefully there will be a similar weight carrying performance in the Greatwood Hurdle on Sunday.

Henderson To Strike Again
Still only a five-year-old, Hargam is a horse who held good company last season and although failing to land a blow in the Champion Hurdle in March behind Annie Power, he did run well in the Christmas Hurdle behind Faugheen and wasn’t disgraced behind Old Guard prior to that.

Henderson has had him out early and a trip to Tipperary proved unfruitful as Hargam was no match for Ivan Grozny but did return to winning ways a couple of weeks later and certainly won’t lack fitness when lining up tomorrow.

Barry Geraghty has opted for the progressive Winter Escape and obviously he could be a horse that continues his upward curve and proves to be more than a handicapper later in the season…

but Hargam’s experience will hopefully come into play and at odds of 25/1 hopefully he proves worth following.

Sky Is The Limit
It’s fantastic to see, for the second time already this season, that the two most recent winners of the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham are going taking each other on as Moon Racer and Ballyandy lock horns again.

Nigel Twiston-Davies and his team might be confident of a reversal of the Perth form but Moon Racer is picked to oblige again.

The seven-year-old was a narrow runner-up in the Champion Bumper at Punchestown earlier in the year having missed the rest of last season but now that connections are getting a clear run with him, they are sure to have plenty to look forward to and at 2/1, he can frank the form of that September tussle for David Pipe and Tom Scudamore.

Recommended Bets:
Moon Racer (2/1) – 12.45 Cheltenham
Hargam (25/1) – 2.30 Cheltenham
