Astana’s Vincenzo Nibali won the 101st Tour de France yesterday after leading for eighteen days out of the twenty-one.

Nibali didn’t just have the Tour de France win to celebrate as he became the sixth person ever to win all three Grand Tours. Boylesports have installed the newly crowned champion at 6/1 to retain his title next year.

Chris Froome abandoned the race in the fourth stage following a crash which led to a fractured hand and wrist. The 2013 winner is the 7/4 favourite to come back fighting in 2015 and win it for Team Sky. Alberto Contador is one of the elite six to have won all three Grand Tours and is 5/2 to win the Tour de France next year.

Movistar’s Nairo Quintana is next in the betting at 5/1. Third place holder, Thilbaut Pinot, can be backed at 25/1, with second place Jean-Christophe Peraud priced at 80/1. Team Sky’s Richie Porte fell short of the mark this year and is on offer at 66/ to go all the way in 2015.
