She said: “If you look at the stats, Southampton have a really good home record. They’ve only lost once all season, so it’s not an easy place to go too, Saint Mary’s.

“You’re absolutely right about Norwich, they have given themselves a massive chance, such is the recent form they’ve been in.

“There’s a real improvement & resilience to Norwich right now, which could hold them in good stead going forward for the rest of the season, but I just think it’s tricky to go to Southampton as things are right now. Southampton are a team in form.

“It feels like Southampton are hitting form at the right time. They could be looking upwards at the European places, but you’d certainly expect them to finish in the top half, such is the way their season is going right now.

“It’s incredible, the turnaround we’ve seen this season from Southampton. I don’t think they’ve finished in the top half since 2017, so that’s a huge aim for them.
