Stayers’ Hurdle – Cheltenham 2017 Day Three Tips

Stayers' Hurdle

Outright Betting

The bet of the week slots in here. Unowhatimeanharry is 11/10 to win Thursday’s feature so take that price and run.

Take The Money And Run
Return to your local BoyleSports shop on Thursday evening and thank them for doubling your money with a bit of interest.

Unowhatimeanharry isn’t quite in Thistlecrack’s league, but they do have something in common. Last year Thistlecrack went into this race head and shoulders above everything else in the staying division and at Evens it proved to be very rewarding.

Unowhatimeanharry is this season’s equivalent superior stayer and he has to be backed.

Jezki
In the same JP McManus colours, Jezki is the biggest danger. His last run was disappointing but the ground at Gowran Park would be a genuine reason to overlook that run, however, while he did win his first run after a lay off at Navan, you would have to think beating Renneti wouldn’t be good enough form to rock on and win a Stayers’ Hurdle.

There’s no doubt that Jezki has bags of class and still does retain some of that, but trying to outstay Unowhatimeanharry up the hill might be a challenge too far for him and this is another one for Harry Fry and Noel Fehily.

A Place For Willie
Shaneshill loves Cheltenham and has been placed at the last two Festivals. He couldn’t have done any more than he did the last time and you are likely to have Ruby on your side, however, it’s Willie’s other horse, Clondaw Warrior, that can run on to claim some place money.

The Galway Hurdle winner can be expected to be dropped in for the majority of this three-miler and come with a late finish to try and tackle the big guns and at 16/1, he looks to be a solid each-way prospect for anyone that doesn’t want to take the 11/10 about one of next week’s biggest certainties.

Recommended Bets:
Unowhatimeanharry (11/10)
Shaneshill EW (7/1)
