This is a tough one to call but the Eagles just have a more talented team overall so they are my pick to win this year’s Super Bowl. You might ask – what makes it a difficult call when one team is more talented than the other? Well the answer to that is simple – Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Eagles The More Talented And Physical Team
The Kansas City QB is only 27 but he is quite frankly the best we have ever seen at the position (yes, he is better than Tom Brady ever was). However, it takes more than just a great quarterback to win the Super Bowl. In fact, Kansas City Chiefs know this better than anyone else.
The last time we saw Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in the Super Bowl was two years ago when they got destroyed 27-9 by the Buccaneers who were (like the Eagles) a more talented and more physical team.
Tip: Eagles to win both halves at 3/1
Chiefs Will Struggle To Stop Eagles Running Game
On offence Philadelphia has a dominant running game which Kansas City will struggle to defend. As far as I’m concerned this is the biggest mismatch of the game – the Eagles running attack v the Chiefs run defence.
If the Eagles can have consistent success running the ball then they will not only score a lot of points but they will also be able to control the clock and keep Kansas City’s offence off the field.
Tip: Eagles 200+ running yards at 9/2
Philadelphia Defence Can Hold Up Against Chiefs Passing Attack
The rest of the matchups in this game are pretty even. The Chiefs to their credit have the best passing offence in the league. No other team gains as many yards passing the ball as they do but the Eagles match up well here too.
Philadelphia are the #1 pass defence in the NFL as they concede the least passing yards both per game and per passing play.
Tip: Patrick Mahomes Under 287.5 Passing Yards at 20/23
Chiefs Will Struggle To Exploit Eagles Weakness
The Eagles biggest weakness is unfortunately for Kansas City one that they will probably find it difficult to exploit. That weakness is run defence where the Eagles rank towards the bottom half of the league in yards per rush allowed. The Chiefs do not like to run the ball much as they rank in the bottom 10 in the NFL in running plays per game.
Instead, they prefer to rely on the arm of Mahomes to move the ball down the field. They might be better off running more in this game than usual but it isn’t as easy as it sounds to take the ball out of the hands of such a great quarterback.
