Support For Annie Power As Arctic Fire Scratched

Champion Hurdle

Outright Betting

Following the scratching of last year’s Champion Hurdle runner up, Arctic Fire, from this year’s renewal, stablemate Annie Power, who will have to be supplemented for the race, heads the betting at 6/4.

All single bets placed on Arctic Fire after 8am on Tuesday 12th January have been refunded as cash.

Henry De Bromhead’s Identity Thief is next in the betting alongside another Willie Mullins trained horse, Nichols Canyon, whilst My Tent Or Yours, who was runner up in the race in 2014, heads the UK challengers in the betting at 6/1.

We are keen to keep Identity Thief on side as he will be heading to the festival fresh having last been seen finishing second to Nichols Canyon at Leopardstown Christmas Festival but with ground conditions likely to be better, he is not to be ignored.

The New One, who was third in 2014, is next at 7/1 with Nicky Henderson’s Peace and Co (12/1) and stablemate Top Notch on offer at 16/1.

Willie Mullins’ remaining entry, Sempre Medici, who landed the Grade 2 Red Mills Trial Hurdle at Gowran Park last time out, is priced at 20/1 alongside the Robert Walford trained Camping Ground.
