Support Signals Enda’s Here To Stay

Taoiseach After Next Election

Outright Betting

We can report that current Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, is expected to remain in the position for another term after the next Irish general election.

Kenny has been the subject of support in the past 48 hours and has hardened into 1/6 from 1/4 to remain Taoiseach.

His nearest rival in the betting is current Fianna Fáil leader, Michael Martin, who is priced at 5/1.

Sinn Féin’s Mary Lou McDonald is next in the betting at 14/1 alongside party leader Gerry Adams with current Minister for Health, Leo Varadkar, also priced at 14/1 to land the coveted political leadership role.

Cork native and Minster for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Simon Coveney, is currently a 16/1 shot with current Tánaiste and Labour leader, Joan Burton, priced at 33/1.

Former Minister for Health, James Reilly, is a longshot at 100/1 alongside MEP Brian Hayes, Aine Collins and leader of new party Renua Ireland, Lucinda Creighton.

It looks like the Irish nation believe that Enda Kenny is still the best person for the job, as so far it’s Kenny that’s the runaway loser by a mile for us having been available at 4/5 back in January.
