Support Surges For Angela Scanlon Strictly Come Dancing Success

Angela Scanlon’s chances of winning this season of Strictly Come Dancing are trending in the right direction according to the latest betting odds.

Angela Scanlon Strictly Odds Cut

The Irish TV presenter is hot on the heels of the Strictly Come Dancing favourites after BoyleSports trimmed her odds into 9/2 from 11/2 following her weekend waltz.

Scanlon had topped the leaderboard the previous week with a Charleston described by judge Anton Du Beke as the “best number of the whole series yet,” and while she followed it up with a more subdued Viennese Waltz, support for Scanlon to win the glitterball is on the up.

Other Strictly Come Dancing Contenders

Fifteen celebrities have already been whittled down to twelve after Paralympian Jody Cundy became the third dancer to be eliminated at the weekend when his Salsa fell flat with judges.

Scanlon’s latest move however means she is closing in on former and current EastEnders actors in the betting as Nigel Harman (9/4) and Bobby Brazier (5/2) continue to lead the race for the glitterball.

Comedian Eddie Kadi survived the dance-off but requires a swift turn in fortune to survive the chop this weekend, as do fellow 100/1 outsiders Adam Thomas and Krishnan Guru-Murthy.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said:

“Angela Scanlon may not have topped the leaderboard this time, but the judges are still encouraged and punters are dancing to the same tune.”
