Three Stripe Life Shortens For Supreme Novices’ Hurdle At Cheltenham

Three Stripe Life has made an early move up the antepost betting for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham in the spring after a comfortable victory at Fairyhouse on Tuesday.

The Champion Bumper fourth went off a hot 2/13 favourite to score on his seasonal bow and Davy Russell steered him to a six-length victory to land the first leg of a double on the card for in-form trainer Gordon Elliott.

We reacted by cutting the five-year-old into 20/1 from 33/1 for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle in March,

…with former stablemate and Champion Bumper winner Sir Gerhard also prominent at 8/1 behind current favourite Kilcruit (4/1).

Harry Fry meanwhile hopes to have his first runner in the Grand National come April and Ask Me Early has been on the other end of some early interest in the Welsh equivalent after going 10/1 second favourite from 14/1 following his win over hurdles at Exeter.

Bet on Cheltenham Festival 2022.
