Toronto Rose Gambled Into Rose Of Tralee Co-Favourite
There was a significant late gamble in the Rose of Tralee betting on Monday when Toronto Rose Carly McGrath leapfrogged her way up the market to become joint favourite.
The 25 year-old, who could put presenter Dáithí Ó Sé on the back foot if she showcases her Brazilian jiu-jitsu moves,
was a 20/1 shot at the weekend but was backed all the way into 5/1 just hours before the cameras roll on the first night of interviews.
It makes the Cooley, Co. Louth native, who was born in Toronto, a joint favourite for the contest alongside London Rose Grainne Hawkes and Melbourne representative Suzie Jackson.
Leitrim Rose Imelda Scally is no stranger to scooping awards having been crowned Ireland’s best Wedding Coordinator this year and is hot on the heels of the three favourites having also been gambled into 9/1 from 20/1 in advance of the finals.
With three co-favourites, it’s safe to say the crown is up for grabs!
