The group of seven YouTube stars are the latest entry into the betting for which artist will top the UK’s charts at Christmas time. Sidemen released their single ‘Christmas Drillings’ featuring JME. The song was only released four days ago (on December 4th) but already has 5.6 million views and counting.

The YouTubers have amassed a massive following in recent years with 138.7 million subscribers combined between the seven members and a whopping 37.9 billion views. Their massive fanbase is sure to see them threaten favourites LadBaby for the UK Christmas number one crown this festive season.

LadBaby Still Favourite To Land 5th Straight UK Christmas Number One

The novelty act LadBaby, comprised of couple Mark and Roxanne Hoyle have already eclipsed a record held jointly with The Beatles and The Spice Girls by topping the festive charts in the last four consecutive years.

They remain favourites to out-do The Beatles again by becoming the first act to boast five UK Christmas number 1s in total, but their odds are going in reverse this week from 4/7 out to 10/11.

Can the Three Lions Win The UK’s Christmas Number One?

England’s progress at the World Cup has triggered support for a pertinent Christmas number 1 this year as the nation starts to believe that ‘it’s coming home.’

Gareth Southgate’s men cruised into the quarter-finals in Qatar with a 3-0 victory over Senegal and are gearing up to tackle France with a place in the last four up for grabs in Saturday evening’s showdown.

Now confident punters are beginning to believe that David Baddiel, Frank Skinner and the Lightning Seeds could top the Christmas charts with the re-jigged version of their 1996 hit ‘Three Lions (It’s Coming Home For Christmas).’

They are now rated as fourth favourites to win the annual festive battle at 6/1 in the betting with BoyleSports.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said:

Everyone is waiting for LadBaby to make chart history this year by scoring an unprecedented fifth Christmas number 1, but punters are well aware that England’s progress in Qatar could scupper it.

Momentum is really growing behind ‘Three Lions’ and if England conquer France this weekend, we wouldn’t be surprised to see a new frontrunner.”
