Un De Sceaux A No Go In France

There are a few familiar names lining up in the Prix La Barka, 3.55 Auteuil on Saturday as Willie Mullins fires two bullets at the Grade Two.

Thousand Stars is back to try and win the race for a third time but Un De Sceaux is the horse likely to be sent off favourite as he returns to hurdles and steps up in trip for the extended 2m5f contest.

Beaten by Sprinter Sacre at Cheltenham and Sandown, Un De Sceaux will face nothing of his calibre in the Prix La Barka and will have his seemingly preferred softer ground unlike those two most recent starts.

It may be an ideal opportunity to get him back in front but Ptit Zig at around about 7/1 makes more appeal to me than Un De Sceaux at 6/4 so I’d be siding with the Paul Nicholls raider on this occasion.

Recommended Bet:
Ptit Zig – 3.55 Auteuil
