Wee County Punter Transforms €1.40 Into €20,000 In Bingo Bonanza

Eyes down, look in! A County Louth bingo player is in dreamland this weekend following an astounding stroke of fortune that bagged them a five-figure sum of cash, all thanks to a tiny flutter.

The anonymous player took the punt in a BoyleSports shop in the county, placing seven €0.20 bets on seven bingo numbers to be amongst the 35 called out in one of the Saturday afternoon draws in the shop.

They opted for numbers 5, 7, 8, 19, 24, 32 and 34 and incredibly the hopeful customer struck it rich within a matter of seconds, as six of their numbers were the first six out.

That was enough to return €20,000 for one of the €0.20 bets.

When the number 7 dropped later in the draw, all the numbers had landed seeing them walk away with a stunning total of €20,008.40.
