Next James Bond Odds

We’ve been wondering who will be the next James Bond. So we checked out the next James Bond odds to see who’s likely to replace Daniel Craig.

There have been 25 James Bond films released to date with the most recent of those coming back in September of 2021 with No Time To Die. That edition of the James Bond movie series would be Daniel Craig’s last as the actor decided that it was time to move on from the famous role.

Now there is a massive vacancy to fill with Craig’s departure and there is a queue of actors vying to become the next James Bond. Below we preview the top names in the next James Bond betting market.

Who Will Be The Next James Bond?

Aaron Taylor-Johnson – 15/8

Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been installed as the favourite to become the next James Bond following reports in late March that he has met with the producers of the film including Barbara Broccolli with the meeting reportedly going well.

Highlights of his career to date would be his portrayal of the title character in Kick-Ass (2010) and its 2013 sequel, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe character Pietro Maximoff in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).

Taylor-Johnson also gained recognition for his performance as the psychopathic drifter in the thriller film Nocturnal Animals (2016) where he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor and was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is currently the 15/8 market leader to take the role and if the reports are true then those look like great odds.

Henry Cavill – 5/2

The British actor is probably best known for his time working with DC Comics as Superman in the DC Extended Universe (2013–2022). He has also featured in the Netflix fantasy series The Witcher (2019–2023), and the Sherlock Holmes series (2020) and it’s 2022 sequel.

Cavill has also featured in television series like ITV’s Midsomer Murders, and Showtime’s The Tudors. Other major titles in which he has acted include Stardust (2007) and the spy films The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015) and Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018).

It would be no surprise if Henry Cavill were to land the role considering he nearly landed it back in 2006, only narrowly losing out to Daniel Craig.

Here’s what Cavill said about losing out on the role to Craig, “They told me it was ultimately down to, and this is what I’ve been told, it was just down to me and Daniel, and I was the younger option,” he said. “I think it was an amazing choice to go with Daniel. I think Daniel did an incredible job over the past movies.”

Could 2023 be the year for Henry Cavill to finally land the role as the next James Bond? You can bet Cavill to be the next James Bond at odds of 5/2.

James Norton – 11/4

James Norton is an English film, television, and stage actor. He is known for roles in the television series Happy Valley, Grantchester, War & Peace and McMafia.

One of his biggest successes as an actor was when he earned a nomination for the British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2015 for his performance as ex-convict Tommy Lee Royce in Happy Valley. He has spoken affectionately about Happy Valley saying he “owes Happy Valley everything” when discussing his career so far.

When he was recently asked about people touting him for the James Bond role, James Norton was tight-lipped saying that it is “flattering to be in the conversation.” James Norton is 11/4 to land the James Bond role.

Rege-Jean Page – 7/1

Rejé is an English-Zimbabwean actor who has come a long way since his appearance in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 back in 2010 as an uncredited wedding guest.

He has since made a name for himself by appearing on several television series including the likes of as Waterloo Road (2015) on BBC One, Roots (2016) on History, and For the People (2018–2019) on ABC before rising to prominence for his role in the first season of the Netflix period drama Bridgerton (2020).

Jean Page then appeared in the action film The Gray Man (2022), also on Netflix. When asked about links to the James Bond role he didn’t sound overly confident of his chances stating, “I think there might be an element of cultural translation to be done here,” Page said on a Friday appearance on The Tonight Show.

“If you’re a Brit, and you do something of any kind of renown that people regard well, then people start saying the ‘B’ word. It’s like a merit badge. You get the ‘B’ word merit badge I’m very, very glad to have the badge,” he added. “I’m glad to be in such wonderful company of people who have the badge. But it’s a badge.”

Rege-Jean Page remains 7/1 to be the next James Bond.

Tom Hardy – 9/1

Tom Hardy is an English actor. After studying acting at the Drama Centre London, he made his film debut in Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down (2001).

Hardy has since been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, two Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, and two British Academy Film Awards, and received the 2011 BAFTA Rising Star Award.

Tom Hardy has appeared in a wide variety of roles including in the likes of Star Trek Nemesis (2002) and The Revenant (2015), for which he received his Academy Award nomination and The Dark Knight. His television roles include the war drama mini-series Band of Brothers (2001), Heathcliff in ITV’s Wuthering Heights (2009) and as Alfie Solomons in the BBC historical crime drama series Peaky Blinders (2014–2022).

Tom Hardy is currently 9/1 to land the role and his vast experience and acclaim could be an edge in his chances to become the new James Bond.
