Why Man City Will Win PL Title Despite Steven Gerrard Factor At Villa
Man City and Liverpool battle for the Premier League title this Sunday in a nail-biting finish to the season.
And our football ambassador Natalie Sawyer is fearing the worst for one side this Sunday evening despite an incredible Premier League season.
Talking to BoyleSports ahead of the weekend, Sawyer can’t see Pep Guardiola’s men slipping up as they won’t want to end the season without a trophy.
“I think Liverpool will beat Wolves, but I just feel that Man City will win their game against Aston Villa,” she predicts.
“I fear it will end in disappointment for Liverpool and I feel for them, but they have had a terrific season.
“As much as I know the quadruple would be an incredible achievement, I just can’t see Manchester City slipping up.
“The standard that both these teams are setting are the moment has been remarkable. The gap between Liverpool and Man City to the rest is so big and it seems to be widening all the time.
“Right now I think it’s 18 points that separate Liverpool to Chelsea and 19 between Man City and Chelsea. That is a huge gap to have.
“They have set the benchmark, and everyone is trailing behind them. They have been fantastic and a joy to watch as a neutral.
“I think for any team coming up into the Premier League like Brentford where, these were the type of fixtures you would look out for and were desperate to pick yourselves against these teams.
“Liverpool at home have been formidable. They haven’t lost a single game and have only conceded eight goals in the Premier League.
“That is ridiculous and really should be title winning form. Unfortunately, they just came up against a team that has been able to test them every game.
“It’s an exciting final day but I just that it’s Manchester City who are going to win it. I’m sure Steven Gerrard would love to help out his former team but this is Man City and they are not going to let up.”
