Wolfe Odds-On For St Leger Glory In Limerick

Unbeaten in the Irish St. Leger so far, the brilliant Wolfe has been made the 4/7 favourite to land the St Leger for trainer Graham Holland following his stunning semi-final win in 29.55 where he made all from start to finish.

Since the start of the St Leger, Wolfe has found his top form and is a worthy favourite to go on and land his first classic for this year’s BoyleSports Irish Derby winning trainer.

Second favourite in the market for the Co. Kerry trainer Liam Dowling is Ballymac Anton who is now 7/2 from 5/1 to give the Ballymacelliott man his first win in the race.

After missing his break in the second round, this speedster made up ground to qualify and bounced back with a win last week when he took up the lead down the back straight to record the win in 29.82.

Murts Boher is 6/1 from 8/1 and is another finalist for Holland who has an impressive four runners. Murts is yet to win a race in this competition but developed into a lovely dog during the Irish Derby where he made the semi-finals as well at the Produce Stakes semi-finals earlier in the year after winning the 2018 Munster Juvenile Cup.

He lacks early pace but finishes extremely well so he could be looking at some nice place prize money if he gets a clear run.

Lenson Austin is owned by some of the same owners of this year’s BoyleSports Irish Greyhound Derby winner Lenson Bocko so what a year it would be if Austin was to add another classic win for his connections.

An 8/1 shot with just one victory from fourteen starts, he will need a fast start and some luck here with his kennel buddy Totos Park a dark horse at 14/1.

Totos made it to the final of the Cesarewitch this year and has ran in all the top competitions. He might be the oldest, but he is not without a chance with his consistent form.

Cash Is King completes the field as a 12/1 chance with his trainer Brendan Maunsell on a high after claiming the UK Leger final at Perry Barr with Redzer Ardfert at the weekend. This 2018 Produce Stakes winner has a tough race on his paws and was easily outpaced last week by Ballymac Anton.
