Starting off in the Irish capital, one punter made a tidy profit of €7,500 in only a matter of minutes when a small flutter reaped huge dividends thanks to a run of lucky numbers at the weekend.

The anonymous punter struck their wager in a local BoyleSports shop in the county for the Saturday evening’s Irish Lotto draw. They picked four numbers out and placed a simple €1 accumulator on them all landing at odds of 7,500/1.

When 4, 16, 29 and 44 all rolled out, the ambitious punt had paid off and the customer was able to swap their betslip for a grand total of €7,501.

Elsewhere, a County Carlow punter was celebrating pulling off a monumental 4 selection Yankee on Saturday that defied the odds to see them bank an incredible €5,085.50 on the 49’s Lottery draw.

The anonymous punter logged into their BoyleSports online account to pick four numbers to be drawn in the 49’s Teatime Lotto draw which took place at 17.49. The numbers selected were 5, 11, 17 and 30.

They needed all four numbers to land, but when they all dropped within the first six numbers, the customer had cause for celebration.

The €0.50 Yankee bet cost the punter just €5.50 which transformed into a handsome figure of €5,085.50. They completely smashed the odds and correctly predicted all four of their chosen numbers resulting in a phenomenal winning amount.

The punter selected the numbers 11, 13, 21 and 26 and faced odds of 33,000/1 against all four landing, but they all rolled out from the machine to trigger the celebrations.

The fortunate punter logged back in not long afterwards to see a windfall totalling €8,250.25 sitting in their balance, which will give them a fantastic weekend boost and all from a tiny stake.
