Chelsea are hoping to conclude a deal for Barcelona’s Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, reuniting the striker with Thomas Tuchel after their time at Dortmund previously. Marcos Alonso will be heading to the Camp Nou as part of the deal.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have bid around 50m euros for Ajax’s Edson Alvarez, with the player understood to be keen on making the move to London. The Blues also like AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, but will have to improve on their latest offer of 100m euros.

Manchester United have finally announced the signing of winger Antony from Ajax for a fee of around £85m.
Speaking to the club website, he said: “Playing under Erik ten Hag at Ajax was perfect for me and my development. His style of football and coaching brings out the best in me, and I am excited by what he has told me about his plans and ambitions in Manchester.”
Manchester City have announced the £15m signing of centre-back Manuel Akanji from Borussia Dortmund as they bolster their backline ahead of the Champions League.
Southampton midfielder Oriol Romeu has left the south coast club after seven years to sign for La Liga new boys Girona. The tough-tackling player, 31, hadn’t played since the opening day of the season at Spurs.
