“I’m sure Brendan Rodgers will be glad to see the transfer window close with so much speculation about players leaving,” Sawyer told BoyleSports.

“They haven’t picked up a victory yet and they’re facing a Manchester United side with two wins in their last two, so I’m still a little concerned for Leicester.

“Finances have been a real problem for them of late and this decline goes back to last season. They have only won seven matches in 2022, which is quite startling.

“They will come out of the Chelsea game feeling they should have got something as they out-shot their opponents, but they just need to be more clinical.

“Jamie Vardy hasn’t got going and Manchester United are coming good now, they’ve got something about them.

“Having said that, I was actually disappointed by the likes of Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho against Southampton after their goals against Liverpool.

“Bruno Fernandes however is the one who looks like he’s getting back to his best. He’d be my pick for first goalscorer.”
