Acapella Bourgeois Shortens For BoyleSports Irish Grand National

BoyleSports revealed the betting on Thursday for the €500,000 Easter Monday showdown after a total of 97 entries were revealed earlier this week with Milan Native and Any Second Now sharing favouritism at 10/1.

Burrows Saint, who broke Willie Mullins’ duck in the race last year, is 16/1 to retain his crown.

However, it’s another Mullins’ trained star who is attracting the support.

The 2020 Bobbyjo Chase winner Acapella Bourgeois is now 20/1 from 25/1 to add another big title to his CV and land the BoyleSports Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse next month.

Tiger Roll is 14/1 to win the Irish National off the back of news that his bid at an Aintree hat-trick will have to wait another year due to the COVID-19 outbreak. His trainer Gordon Elliott confirmed he will be kept in training next season and is 10/1 to win the famous 3-in-a-row at Aintree in 2021.

Paul Nolan was so close to getting his Cheltenham Festival winner this month when Latest Exhibition finished second to Monkfish in the Albert Bartlett. Nolan trains the consistent Discorama who has an entry for the Irish National with his odds taking a small cut into 14/1 from 16/1 on Saturday morning. Discorama was third in the Grade Three Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham Festival and is being talked up to land the big one at the Co. Meath track on Easter Monday.
