Andrew Cuomo Backed To Mount White House Bid

Andrew Cuomo has appeared out of nowhere in the betting to be the Democratic candidate contesting the US Presidential election later in the year.

The New York Governor has seen his profile rise significantly during the Coronavirus crisis, with his daily briefings earning praise from across the political spectrum in the United States.

Now BoyleSports have slashed the odds on him taking on Donald Trump in November’s vote, meaning the 62-year-old lawyer and author is 10/1 second favourite.

He was 100/1 just a week ago to be the Democratic nominee.

Joe Biden however retains a comfortable lead in the betting, but he has been eased to 1/6 having been as short as short as 1/33 when he surged ahead of previous favourite Bernie Sanders in the Democratic race.
