Arsenal and PSV last met in the 2007 Champions League, with the Dutch side beating Arsene Wenger’s team 2-1 on aggregate in the last-16 knockout round.

BoyleSports traders reported shortly after the draw that their odds have been eased out to 11/2 from 5/1 – but they remain the favourites to lift the trophy.

Manchester United have been paired with Spanish side Real Sociedad and they remain 7/1 in the betting to be crowed winners. The Red Devils are 8/15 favourites to win Group E while Arsenal are a short 1/3 to win Group A.

Jose Mourinho’s Roma were paired with FC Ludogorets, Spanish side Real Betis and Finnish team HJK, with their chances clipped into 11/1 from 12/1.

Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: “The Europa League draw has thrown up some belters with ante post favourites Arsenal already on the drift.

The Gunners are now 11/2 from 5/1 with Roma on the move into 11/1 from 12/1. It’s still early days but we make Arsenal 1/3 favourites to win Group A while Manchester United are 8/15 to top Group E.”
